Acute Sinusitis

Duration: Less than four weeks.

Usually starts with a common cold and resolves within 7-10 days.

Chronic Sinusitis

Duration: More than twelve weeks.

Often associated with allergies or structural nasal problems.

Subacute Sinusitis

Duration: Four to twelve weeks. ​
